The total import cargos of 104,085 tonnes comprised of 41,649 tonnes of containerised cargo; 05 tonnes of bulk cargo; 5,809 tonnes of DPA; 557 tonnes of MAP and 56,065 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargos of 65,869 tonnes comprised of 31,932 tonnes of containerised cargo; 200 tonnes of bulk cargo; 33,737 tonnes of clinkers and nil tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
As many as 5,956 containers comprising of 3,300 containers import and 2,656 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Thursday.
The breakup of imported containers shows 757 of 20's and 1,016 of 40's loaded while 55 of 20's and 228 of 40's empty containers, whereas that of exported containers shows 687 of 20's and 373 of 40's loaded containers while 211 of 20's and 506 of 40's empty containers were handled during the business hours.
There were three ships namely Polo, Navig8 Labaster and Santa Rita carrying containers, chemical and clinkers respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
There were seven vessels viz. APL Paris, Botany Bay, Greenwich Bridge, Rainbow Island-88, MT Lahore, Josco Hang Zhou and Vinalines Brave carrying containers, oil tankers, fertilizer and clinkers respectively currently at the berths.
The total import cargo of 144,284 tonnes includes 19,580 tonnes of LNG; 27,787 tonnes of coal; 655 tonnes of soyabean; 16,200 tonnes of palm oil; 31,224 tonnes of diesel oil; 7,204 tonnes of chemical; 20,202 tonnes of steel coil and 21,432 tonnes of containerised cargo.
The total export cargo of 30,476 tonnes includes 30,476 tonnes of containerised cargo.
As many as 2,732 containers comprising of 1,128 containers import and 1,604 containers export were handled during the last 24 hours on Thursday.
There were two ships namely Johnny-P and Central Park carrying soyabean and chemical respectively sailed out to sea on Thursday morning, while six more ships namely Los Angles Trader, MSC Tomoko, Aliki Force, Nautical Jennifer, Estia and Mega-1 carrying containers, steel coil, coal, diesel oil and palm oil respectively expected to sail on the same day afternoon.
A total number of eleven vessels were occupied berths to load/offload containers, steel coil, soyabean, coal, chemical, LNG, diesel oil and palm oil respectively at Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
As many as six vessels viz. MOL Courage, Do Tong Yun, Western Star, African Robin, Red Fin and Star Mistral carrying containers, general cargo, soyabean and coal respectively were at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
There were four ships viz. MOL Courage, Hugo Schulte, Do Tong Yun and Western Star carrying containers, general cargo and soyabean respectively expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Grains and Furtilizer Terminal respectively on Thursday.
There were two ships namely Nordmed and Hugo Schulte carrying containers due to arrive on Thursday, while another ship namely APL Paris carrying containers is due to arrive on Friday.
